He is fighting on the Judah-Spinks undercard this sat night. I just looked at his record, and again i have never seen him fight, but while he is undefeated, he was dropped to the canvas twice last year, in back to back fights, by 2 guys who arent contenders, to say the least. This makes me wonder a bit, as Barrett is prob the most talented fighter on his record to date. On the other hand, the King factor always makes me wonder too.

Very discouraging that this guy has never been on TV anywhere, I can't find any of his fights anywhere. When a guy like beck is fighting on the world stage the fight is completely unpredictable. Some guys fold under the pressure and other guys thrive. You can read artivles, look at his record or whatever but it really don't help because nobody knows how the guy will react under the pressure of fighting in front of a huge crowd and a national audience.

Just a no play.. If we dont know anything about him, why bet him.. If anything take Barrett. I have seen pictures of back, and his body isnt exactly the next coming of Holyfield. We are prob better to just watch, see what he has and make our judgements after. No offense to smokey, but he hasnt exactly been on fire this year for football, so I really wont feel comfortable going on his word alone.
if this is the guy that came and trained at the leprechan gym in miami then he is a total stiff who whould make brian nielsen look great. remember what happened when king moved jerry ballard in to fight ruiz? however i am not sure it is the same beck. help me out here is this a miami guy from gerrits leprican?
Only thing I know is back in OCT. Chuck said watch out for this kid, he will be the next WBC champ...."king is pointing him to this fight" so eventhough Chuck is colder than ALASKA I'd probably just watch then lay price on Barret who is just an underachiever as stated on this board many times. my 2 cents
I def know what you mean. Still dont want to bet on it though... I do have one question, does King have an option on Barrett too. I think he does, though I may be wrong. He tried to put this fight on his Heavyweight Nov 13th card origionally. So if that true, maybe there is a King factor for Barrett too.
Yes you are right. He is . I just look at Becks record, and most of the guys have a losing record, or not many wins at all. Looks alot like Butterbeans record. I honestly am not putting the guy down, as I have never seen him, so I wont bet against him. He has tasted the canvas a few tiems buy these bums though, and that cant be good going against a veteran like Barrett.
